Nicole Tori’s career spans musical theater, classical music and beyond. She made her international debut in the first Asian tour of The Sound of Music
, performing the role of Frau Schmidt in six countries. Recently, Nicole played Miss Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz
at Westchester Broadway Theatre. Other theatrical credits include Sweeney Todd
at Portland Center Stage, Fiddler on the Roof
and The Sound of Music
at the Fox Theatre Atlanta, Wolff Trap, Straz Center and Sandler Center and Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music
at Millbrook Playhouse. Nicole’s opera work includes Mother in the original contemporary opera Falling: An Opera of Forgiveness
presented at La Mama E.T.C. She is a regular soprano soloist and ringer throughout the tri-state area.
Nicole attended New England Conservatory of Music, received her MS from Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music and her BM from Wheaton College Conservatory. She is also a NY state certified music teacher and proud kitty mama to her pampered street cat, now master of the house, Dash.
